Seena International is recalling approximately 45,000 children’s hooded sweatshirts that have drawstrings. The sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood, posing a risk of strangulation to the child wearing them.

The garments are not in compliance with federal guidelines to help children from strangling or getting tangled around the neck and waist by drawstrings in upper garments like that of sweatshirts and jackets.

The recall is for children’s fleece hooded sweatshirts in sizes 8-12. The sweatshirts were sold in blue, black, brown, grey, white and off-white. The words “BRKLYN Xpress” and “Brooklyn Express” and various graphics are embroidered on the sweatshirts. The recall only involves the sweatshirts sizes 8-12.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings on the sweatshirts to avoid potential hazard or return the garment to the store where it was purchased for helping removing the drawstring.
