Another year and another Super Lawyers award.  Whew!  We made it.  This is the 9th year in a row, although this year is the Mid-South Super Lawyers, not just Alabama.  See below.

Selected to Super Lawyers

2016 Mid-South Super Lawyers
2015 Alabama Super Lawyers
2014 Alabama Super Lawyers
2013 Alabama Super Lawyers
2012 Alabama Super Lawyers
2011 Alabama Super Lawyers
2010 Alabama Super Lawyers
2009 Alabama Super Lawyers
2008 Alabama Super Lawyers

But really, who’s not a Super Lawyer?  Search “Personal Injury” in Birmingham, Alabama, and you will find 120 Super Lawyers.  You can see that here.  How can there be so many Super Lawyers?  There aren’t 120 Supermans or Batmans.  We can’t all be Super Heroes.

What does it all really mean?  Well, if you have your picture on the website, it means you paid Thomson Reuters, the company behind the Super Lawyers, at least $600.00 for the year.  You can buy one of four packages:  $600.00, $1,200.00, $1,800.00 or $4,800.00, just depending on how much you want Super Lawyers to push your services.  If you are an attorney, just click here, and you can buy one of the packages.

Because we don’t pay, you won’t find me until page 4 of the personal injury attorneys, and you won’t find my picture.  For that information, you can go straight to our website at Lewis, Feldman & Lehane, LLC.  This is virtually the same with the Birmingham Magazine and B-Metro.  They have their top attorney issues every year.  Why?  So they can get all the firms to buy ads in the issues.

Don’t get me wrong.  We are always proud to be acknowledged as quality attorneys, but we would rather be acknowledged through attorney and former client referrals.  That’s what really speaks to us and lets us know we are doing a good job in the community and helping people, not some award which is really used as a money making scheme.  Frankly, until we get our capes, how can we truly be Super Lawyers?
